We have noticed a lot of inferior freeze dried açai products on the market and are disturbed by the false statements and low quality of açai being sold in North America. We want you to be fully educated, so that you can base your purchase on fact, not fiction.

Vitamin C in Açai Powder...

All açai powder that we noticed on the market, lists vitamin C on the nutritional panel of label. It should be noted, that although açai is a fruit, freeze dried açai has a negligible amount of vitamin C in a 3g serving. If a nutritional label specifies vitamin C higher than 1% per 3g serving, then there are added preservatives such as citric acid and or vitamin C. Therefore, you are not buying a pure açai product. We sell a 100% pure freeze dried powder with no preservatives or additives.

Packaging of Freeze Dried Açai Powder...

Freeze dried açai powder is light sensitive before and after freeze drying. Powders sold in paper bags, white tubs, clear bags or with shoddy styrofoam seals do NOT block light and the quality of the powder will continue to degrade during its shelf life. Our aluminized bags and dark coloured tubs ensure protection from light and humidity. It is important to reseal the packaging after each use to maintain the quality of this fragile fruit.

Colour & quality of Freeze Dried Açai Powder…

We have closely compared other açai products on the market being sold under different labels, but we couldn’t find a freeze dried powder that compares to ours in color, taste and texture. The colour should be a very dark purple. Any variations of this colour means that an inferior drying method was used. Proper drying extracts only water, leaving just the fruit itself, which is dark purple. Açaí fruit is naturally very high in fatty acid content, so a good quality powder should appear oily. The drier the powder appears; the less actual açaí fruit is present. You will see that our powder is much darker and oily, which makes our powder superior in all these properties.
